Mushrooms Days

Rich with mushrooms, woods of Ivanec are gladly visited by mushroom collectors from the nearby places and towns, and once a year, society “Maska” organizes traditional Ivanec’s Mushroom games (Gljivarijada), to which the mushroom collectors from all the Croatia come. It is particularly interesting in the evening, when the mushroom collectors come back from the woods with their “catch”, and an exhibition is created from the collected mushrooms. A number of different mushrooms is around 150. Socializing of mushroom collectors is continued with roasted chestnuts and mushroom specialties for which always hospitable hosts form the society “Maska” take care.
